Sub: PROMOTION OF AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV ( AKAM )

Dear Member,

This is to inform you that a FHRAI delegation under the leadership of Mr. Gurbaxish Singh Kohli, Vice President called on Shri G Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of Development of North Eastern Region, Tourism and Culture, Government of India on 10th May 2022 at New Delhi.

The delegation apprised the Minister about the major concerns of the tourism and hospitality sector in the country and sought his support for the revival and growth of the sector.

During the interaction, The Hon’ble Minister made a special appeal to FHRAI members to actively promote the ‘azadi ka amrit mahotsav’ ( AKAm) campaign in similar way other festivals are celebrated and promoted in their premises. The Minister stressed that Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav provides an opportunity to all the citizens to affirm their commitment towards the growth and promotion of our country and its tourism sector.

You may note that the Government of India is celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (AKAM) to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence and glorious history, rich culture and various achievements of our country. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is a 75-week celebration that began from 12th March 2021.

Hence, we request FHRAI members to kindly participate in the initiative to make it a grand success by undertaking the following promotional activities:

• Placing AKAM logo on the websites.
• Display of AKAM logo on designated areas at the Receptions / Lobby / Restaurants / Spa / Salon / Travel Desk etc.
• Including AKAM logos in social media creatives and tagging / hash tagging PMO, MoT & FHRAI on Social Media posts by members.
• Placement of AKAM Logo on room keys, luggage tags, notepads, pen / pencils / information index etc.
• Placing QR Code banners on tables in the restaurants with landing page in AKAM website/ App to enable the customers to get more information on the same
• AKAM logo to be placed on the restaurant menu cards.

The brand manual including the guidelines to publicise the AKAM is attached, for your reference.
