Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has have instituted Eat Right Awards to recognize and honour the contribution of individuals and established food businesses. Two categories for Food Service Sector are
1. Food Service Category
Recognizes food services businesses that ensure availability and promote healthier food options, engaged in consumer guidance through appropriate menu labeling on nutrition, promote personal hygiene and safe water handling practices, undertake effective measures to prevent food wastage. There would be two sub categories under this. One for food services companies having twenty of more outlets in the country, and another for individual restaurant, outlet, and workplace-cafeteria and so on.
There are two categories under this award
- Organisations with 20 or more outlets
- Less than 20 outlets /Standalone
Apply in relevant category for your organisation.
2. Young Chef Category
Recognizes one or more young chefs (below 35 years age) who have demonstrated innovation by providing and popularizing healthy recipes that use less sugar, salt and oil, eliminate trans-fat completely and use fortified raw ingredients.

- Log in to www.eatrightindia.gov.in
- Apply as Organization→ foodservice category or Apply as Individual→Young Chef Category.
- Fill the form
- Upload presentation providing details (organization’s profile, images and detail of work done in relevance to eat right awards). File size should be less than 12 MB.
