The International Day of Yoga, celebrated on June 21st, was initiated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. Since its inception, the day has had a transformative impact, leading to its widespread global adoption. Originating in India around 5000 years ago, yoga, derived from Sanskrit, symbolizes "unity" and is an integral part of India's ancient tradition known to every Indian.
This year theme for International Yoga Day 2024 is "Yoga for Women Empowerment". This theme emphasizes the positive impact that yoga can have on the physical and mental well-being of women. Through the practice of yoga, women can cultivate strength, confidence, and self-awareness, ultimately leading to a sense of empowerment in all aspects of their lives. By embracing yoga as a tool for self-discovery and growth, women can connect with their inner strength and wisdom. Each pose, each breath, and each moment of stillness on the mat becomes a powerful statement of self-love and empowerment.
To commemorate this journey of International Yoga Day, FHRAI is organizing Yoga Mahotsav 2024 with the support of Ministry of Ayush ,Govt. of India
