Subject: Udyog Manthan - Webinar on Tourism and Hospitality Industry Services - Tuesday, 4 p.m. 12th  January 2021  

Dear Member,

We are pleased to share with you that the FHRAI has been invited by the Government of India to attend ‘Udyog Manthan’ and present its point-of-view with regard to the Tourism and Hospitality Industry Services.

'Udyog Manthan' - a marathon of focused sector-specific webinars for promoting Quality and Productivity in the Indian Industry has been envisaged by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) and is being organised by the Quality Council of India, supported by the National Productivity Council, Bureau of Indian Standards & Industry Chambers. This series of webinars will run from January 4, 2021 - March 2, 2021. 

The objective of the initiative is “to identify issues and find solutions for promoting productivity, quality & their inter linkages in Indian Industry”. The agenda of the initiative is to “have focused discussion on productivity and quality (and their inter linkages) in the Indian Industry across sectors”. These webinars aim to draw in best practices and experiences of sectors and industry experts to identify challenges related to quality and productivity faced by Indian Industry, with a view of solving them to promote "Vocal for Local" for achieving the goal of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. These webinars would result in creating a compendium of quality-related sectoral recommendations to aid industrial competitiveness, leading to greater demand for Indian products and services thereby leading to export promotion and import substitution.

A webinar on Tourism and Hospitality industry services promoting quality and productivity in the Indian Industry is scheduled to be held at 4.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 12th January 2021. Shri. Gurbaxish Singh Kohli, Vice President, FHRAI shall be sharing the Hospitality’s perspective at the event.
