We are pleased to inform you that, on the occasion of World Tourism Day 2026, GRT Hotels & Resorts, Chennai is organising The GReaT Indian Travel Quiz, a large-scale hybrid tourism quiz celebrating India’s diverse destinations, heritage, culture, cuisine, and the joy of travel. FHRAI is an Official Association Partner of this event.
The details of the programme are as follows:
Date: 27 September 2026 – World Tourism Day
Venue: Radisson Blu Hotel & Suites GRT Chennai
Format: Hybrid – Live, with Pan-India and Global Online Participation
Ambition: 16,000+ simultaneous participants
Quiz Master: Nawabzada Mohammed Asif Ali, Dewan to the Prince of Arcot
The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s vision of positioning tourism as a key driver of economic growth, employment, cultural pride, and destination development. It also complements the tourism initiatives and campaigns championed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, including Dekho Apna Desh, Swadesh Darshan, PRASHAD, destination development initiatives, and efforts to promote India as a leading global tourism destination.
