Dear Industry Members,
Greetings from FHRAI!
India is rapidly consolidating its position as a leading global tourism destination, underpinned by its unparalleled cultural heritage, a resilient and mature hospitality ecosystem, and significant advancements in tourism and urban infrastructure. The accelerating growth of destination weddings and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) tourism offers a compelling opportunity to drive sustainable economic growth across tourism and allied sectors, while deepening collaboration between government institutions, industry stakeholders, and international partners.
Under the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s “Wed in India” initiative, destination wedding preferences are shifting markedly towards India, particularly among NRIs and overseas families seeking globally benchmarked services combined with authentic cultural experiences. This evolution reflects the maturity and international competitiveness of India’s wedding tourism segment.
Simultaneously, India’s MICE sector is witnessing robust expansion, with the market projected to grow from USD 49,402.6 million in 2024 to USD 103,686.5 million by 2030 at a CAGR of 13%, driven by MICE-ready destinations and substantial infrastructure development. As businesses increasingly leverage MICE events and destination-led experiences to enhance brand visibility and economic impact, the global events industry is entering a transformative phase.
Against this backdrop, the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) is pleased to convene the Wedding & MICE Tourism Conclave on 28 March 2026 at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham, Lucknow (Kanpur Road). With participation from State Government, embassy representatives, global event partners, and senior industry leaders, the Conclave will serve as a focused international platform for dialogue, collaboration, and strategic networking.
In conjunction with the Conclave, FHRAI is pleased to invite nominations and applications for the Wedding & MICE Tourism Awards, instituted to recognise and honour industry professionals, organisations, and service providers who have demonstrated exceptional excellence, innovation, and leadership in advancing the wedding and MICE tourism sector. These Awards aim to celebrate best practices and set benchmarks that inspire continued growth and global recognition of India’s wedding and MICE tourism industry.
