Greetings from FHRAI!
We are happy to share that the newly established FHRAI Centre of Excellence (CoE) has released its first comprehensive report on the 'Ease of Doing Business in the Indian Hospitality Industry'. The report, launched on the sidelines of the 54th FHRAI Annual Convention in Goa on 16th October 2024, highlights critical industry challenges and offers strategic recommendations to improve the business environment for hotels and restaurants across the country.
Developed after consultations with over 500 key stakeholders including hotel owners, operators, regulators, and industry associations, the report provides actionable insights aimed at fostering growth in India's hospitality sector. It emphasizes the pivotal role of the hospitality industry within the broader travel and tourism sector, which significantly contributes to economic growth, job creation, and social development.
FHRAI envisions that addressing the outlined challenges and implementing recommended reforms will empower India’s hospitality sector to contribute to the national ambition of building a USD 3 trillion tourism economy by 2047 under the 'Viksit Bharat' vision.
