Subject: Exposition of the Holy Relic of Tathagata Buddha, Leh, Ladakh (1–14 May 2026)
Dear Member,
We are pleased to inform you that the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is organising the Exposition of the Holy Relic of Tathagata Buddha in Leh, Ladakh from 1st to 14th May 2026, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of the 2569th Vaishakh Buddha Purnima.
This significant spiritual and cultural event, themed “Peace in Times of Conflict,” will feature the public exposition of the sacred relics of Lord Buddha. The exposition is expected to draw monks, scholars, pilgrims, and tourists from across India and abroad, further strengthening Ladakh’s position as a key destination for Buddhist heritage and spiritual tourism.
The Union Territory Administration of Ladakh has requested the support of FHRAI in promoting this important event through the following:
- Circulating information about the exposition among members, partners, and other stakeholders
- Incorporating the event into travel itineraries, pilgrimage circuits, and Ladakh tour packages
- Promoting the official event website: https://tathagata.co.in/ through digital platforms, newsletters, and social media
- Developing and offering thematic travel experiences aligned with Buddhist heritage tourism
