Sub: Webinar to Sensitize the Food Business Operators’ Responsibilities and Safeguards in regard to the FSSAI Rules & Regulations
Dear Members,
A delegation of FHRAI, along with representatives of other trade associations from the hospitality sector, held a meeting with the senior officials of FSSAI, on 10th August 2026 in New Delhi regarding the recent inspections being undertaken at hotels and restaurants across different parts of the country.
During the meeting, FSSAI officials informed the delegation that, with effect from 15th August 2026, FSSAI will undertake inspections of hotels across the country to ensure stricter compliance with food safety regulations by all stakeholders.
In view of these inspections, which may have significant implications for the hospitality industry, all member establishments are advised to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of the FSSAI Act, applicable regulations, and prescribed food safety standards.
In this regard, FHRAI is organising a webinar to sensitise the members on their statutory responsibilities under the FSSAI framework, key areas requiring attention during inspections, and the safeguards available to them in the event of any procedural irregularity or overreach by inspecting officials.
