Subject: First Training Session of the System for Assessment, Awareness and Training for Hospitality Industry (SAATHI)

Dear Member,

Please be informed that the First Training Session of the System for Assessment, Awareness and Training for Hospitality Industry (SAATHI) Initiative was held today at 10.00 a.m. Shri. Rakesh Verma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism; Dr. Ravi P. Singh, Secretary General, QCI, Shri. Pradeep Shetty, Joint Hon. Secretary, FHRAI and Representatives of the Hospitality Industry were part of the Inauguration ceremony.

SAATHI, as you are aware,  is a unique initiative of the Ministry of Tourism in association with the Quality Council of India to assist the hospitality industry in their preparedness to continue operations safely and mitigate risks arising out of the COVID pandemic. Ensuring safety & health of employees and guests and helping in complying with COVID-19 related regulatory requirements are the objectives of this initiative.

Self-Certification, Capacity Building through Webinars and Site Assessment ( Optional) are the three Core Elements of this Initiative. The Self Certification process provides a detailed understanding of the guidelines / key elements to be followed by each hospitality unit. This will also assist the fraternity in judging the level of overall preparedness on its own to receive guests as well as to manage its employees.  

SAATHI Self Certification portal is live from 11th September 2020. Members are hereby informed to go for the SAATHI Self Certification and download their certificates from https://saathi.qcin.org .

We would also urge the Members to register and attend the webinar  sessions scheduled in the coming days.
