SUB: MINISTRY OF TOURISM REQUESTING INDUSTRY FEEDBACK ON TRAVEL FOR LIFE ACTION PLAN

Dear Member,

As you may be aware that the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India launched the ‘National Strategy for Sustainable Tourism’ on 29th April 2022 with a vision to position India as a preferred global destination for sustainable and responsible tourism. It aims to mainstream sustainability in the Indian tourism sector and safeguarding the country’s natural and cultural resources while building a more resilient, resource-efficient, inclusive, and carbon-neutral tourism industry.

The Strategy lays down the preparation of a detailed ‘National Action Plan’ for its successful implementation. In alignment with the same, the Ministry of Tourism is planning to launch an Action Plan named "Travel for LiFE Action Plan 2023.'' The draft Action Plan and the strategy document can be accessed through the following links:

Last Date for submission of feedback is 17th Mach 2023.
