Sub: Result of the Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EOGM) Conducted on 9th July 2026
As you are aware, FHRAI had convened an Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EOGM) on 9th July 2026 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi to transact the following special business:
1. TO CONSIDER AND, IF THOUGHT FIT, TO PASS WITH OR WITHOUT MODIFICATION(S), THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION AS A SPECIAL RESOLUTION
“RESOLVED THAT the primary membership of Opium Bar cum Restaurant, J-2, Block-GP, Sector-5, Salt Lake City, Kolkata – 700091 bearing Membership No 40245 and membership of Manthan Bar & Restaurant, 3, Waterloo Street, Kolkata – 700069 bearing Membership Number 40895 and any other establishment or member represented by Mr. Pranav Singh and Mr. Sudesh Poddar respectively, is hereby terminated from the membership of FHRAI on account of Mr. Pranav Singh and Mr. Sudesh Poddar acting in derogation of interest of the Federation.
FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the above said resolution is part of the decision-making process arising from the show cause notice, however, the same shall not be given effect to in view of the NCLT order dated 15.05.2026 until the said order is vacated / modified.
We would like to inform you that 93% members participated in the e-voting have cast their vote in favour of the above-said resolution.

In the physical voting conducted during the EOGM, a total of 380 votes were cast in favour of the abovesaid resolution wherein 264 votes were cast against the resolution.

On the basis of the total votes cast by the members through e-voting and physical voting in the EOGM, abovesaid Special Resolution has been approved with an assent from 81.77% of the members participated in the voting.
Accordingly, the General Body of FHRAI has approved the termination of the primary membership of Opium Bar cum Restaurant and membership of Manthan Bar & Restaurant and any other establishment or member represented by Mr. Pranav Singh and Mr. Sudesh Poddar respectively on account of Mr. Pranav Singh and Mr. Sudesh Poddar acting in derogation of interest of the Federation.
However, this resolution will not be given effect to in view of the NCLT order dated 15.05.2026 until the said order is vacated / modified.
