Sub: Feedback on the Hygiene Rating Audit Agency Scheme of FSSAI

Dear Member,

 FSSAI has introduced a voluntary Hygiene Rating scheme for food service establishments to improve the standards of food hygiene in food businesses and enable the consumer to make informed choices while eating out. This scheme is being implemented through an online portal where Food Businesses opting for Hygiene Rating can self assess level of food hygiene and safety  implementation and the same would be verified by the Hygiene Rating Audit Agencies.

FSSAI recognised 26 Hygiene Rating Audit Agencies (HRAA) in year 2018 for implementing this initiative.

FSSAI in association with the Quality Council of India has developed a Hygiene Rating Audit Agency Scheme for recognition of certification bodies for Hygiene Rating Scheme. This scheme will be launched soon.  Please find enclosed draft documents of the HRAA Recognition Scheme for your kind reference.  

Please  find enclosed a Questionnaire on the Hygiene Rating Scheme of FSSAI. Members who have undertaken Hygiene Rating of FSSAI are hereby requested to share their valuable feedback to enable us to provide our comments to FSSAI, on the scheme.

You are also requested to share your comments on the HRAA Scheme in the enclosed format. Please share  the filled questionnaire and your comments on the HRAA Scheme through email to eatosg@fhrai.com,  latest by Wednesday, 7th October 2020.
